Dems are failure driven.....

Looks like the Dems just want to create more division among voters these days:

http://www.43rdstateblues.com/?q=sali_ranked_near_bottom_of_list

It's rather unfortunate that Larry Grant is constantly tearing down Bill Sali. Maybe Mr. Grant should look within the confines of his own party to find people to heckle.

For example, if Mr. Grant is successful in taking Mr. Sali's place in Congress, he will get to work under Nancy Pelosi, one of the brightest bulbs in the Congressional lamp. She is the one who claimed that the surge and U.S. policy had failed, but the troops were successful. What?

Or maybe he could one day work under Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, who, last spring, claimed the surge had failed (when it hadn't even been fully implemented yet). Then he recently commented that the surge has in fact made progress and was working. So which is it Mr. Reid?

I don't know...those are the head Dems and they sound kind of stupid to me.

Stupidity from the Extreme Left

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,334875,00.html

When I heard about the house fires in Seattle being started by Eco-terrorist, I was a little baffled. I know that ELF was trying to achieve a greater purpose and send a broad message to everyone in the United States. Yeah, yeah...we already know you don't like our consumerism and our lifestyle...thanks...we get it!

Then I read that the builder even used recycled wood and was as environementally friendly as possible while building the homes. It appears that ELF will start dictating how environmentally friendly is enough soon. Wow.

I guess extremists just lack common sense sometimes....The firemen had to waste diesel fuel to get to the fire and water to put it out. Then the builder, if he chooses to, will have to rebuild, which will use just as much material. What a waste. What they did makes absolutely no sense. No sense, unless of course ELF wants us to live in mud huts.

More Stupidity from 43rd State Blues....

43rd State Blues currently has this quote on the top left of their page:

"The Oval Office: Because there are no corners, there is nowhere to make the President sit when he has shamed the nation."

I wonder if they are refferring to W. or Clinton? I wonder if Mr. Clinton wished the Oval Office has more corners so he could have more effectively hid his affair with Monica.

I love all these catchy slogans and bumper stickers that the Dems put everywhere. They really make me chuckle. One of my favorites is "No one died when Clinton lied." So, is that a thing of pride? Your President was the best lying President in recent history?

As for Bush lying about Iraq, I want you to read this and try and guess who said this in a State of the Union Speech:

"Saddam Hussein has spent the better part of this decade and much of his nation's wealth not on providing for the Iraqi people but on developing nuclear, chemical and biological weapons and the missiles to deliver them. The United Nations weapons inspectors have done a truly remarkable job, finding and destroying more of Iraq's arsenal than was destroyed during the entire Gulf War.

Now, Saddam Hussein wants to stop them from completing their mission.
I know I speak for everyone in this chamber, Republicans and Democrats, when I say to Saddam Hussein: You cannot defy the will of the world. And when I say to him: You have used weapons of mass destruction before. We are determined to deny you the capacity to use them again. "

Here's a hint: It wasn't W. This is an excerpt from the 1998 State of the Union Speech given by William Jefferson Clinton. Did he lie too?

Random Thought

Ok....so I was laying in bed a couple nights ago when this chain of thought came to me:

1. Democrats and Liberals (and some Conservatives for that matter) claim the Iraq War has been grossly mismanaged.
2. The Iraq War was an undertaking of a government organization.
3. With private contractors and soldiers included, the total U.S. directed force was (guestimate here) probably 500,000 or less.
4. The Democrats are calling for Universal Health Care.
5. There are approximately 301 millions Americans (legal ones anyway).
6. If one of our best governmental organizations can make mistakes and mismanage the effort of 500,000 people, what makes anyone think that our regular sloppy government could manage healthcare for 300 million people any better?

PPI Hit Piece?

The 43rd state blues are at it again, trying to excuse the behavior of Planned Parenthood of Idaho by rationalizing and redirecting the argument to focus on the so-called "entrapment," rather than focusing on the real issue here.

When I read the transcript of the phone call in question, I thought that the young lady who was working at Planned Parenthood was just going along with the caller and doing her job until this:

Kersey: All right. Excuse my hesitation, um, um, this is the first time I've had a donor call and make this kind of request, so I'm excited, and I wanna make sure I don't leave anything out.

Wait a minute here.....Did she just say that she is excited to be receiving a donation that would encourage the weeding out of African-Americans in the United States? 43rd State Blues is trying to excuse this lady's behavior by saying that she was just going along with her job and trying to say or do anything to garner donations for PPI. I would have believed that if it weren't for the statement up above. If it were me, I would have let racist donor say their piece and take their money, but I definitely wouldn't have been excited about it.

What a shame.....A lot of people have suggested that Planned Parenthood is a undercover racist organization because they focus on minorities. I am not saying this proves it because it could be this is a simple isolated incident, but it does more to prove those claims than to disprove them.

Racism and the consulate

http://www.idahopress.com/news/?id=3986

I was brushing up on local politics and issues when I read about the Mexican government thinking of opening a consulate here in Boise. Was intrigued and wondered why we needed one here. I am not opposed to the Mexican government putting one here, I guess I just didn't know exactly what a consulate is used for. I also wondered why Congressman Bill Sali was against it. The first thoughts that came to my mind were thoughts of supposed racism. In the article, it explained why Sali came out against the consulate and I was still thinking racism. And then it clicked. Although a consulate can provide services to Mexican citizens who are visiting the United States, they also aid illegal immigrants start and continue their lives in the United States. Sali is a vocal anti-illegal immigration advocate and is willing to speak out against shady maneuvers that would aid illegal immigration.

I hope that this doesn't start a fire storm of political correctness. A lot of people see Idaho as redneck and racist and while we may still have those pockets within our great state, I believe our state has a lot more common sense than anyone gives us credit for. I can bet that many people across the Treasure Valley are upset about this and they have every right to be. Our country needs safe and secure borders and an environment that says that although we respect your rights as humans, we also would like you to respect our laws. The Mexican consulate is a bad idea and I'm not sure how to stop something like from coming to our city. I don't feel that we should allow illegal immigrants to come into this great land and feel coddled and accepted by the masses. I applaud Mr. Sali and those whose are against this development for the right reason, and hope that the voice of reason will be heard and applied in this case.
